The Airplane Co. • About Us
Founded as Keith Aviation Airshows in 1997, The Airplane Co. has become a leading provider of advanced upset recovery / unusual attitude training to individual pilots, corporate flight departments including FlightSafety International. The Airplane Co. trains more than 350 individual pilots each year. Thats over 2,500 takeoffs and landings, 3,500 spin rotations, and more than 2000 hours of training given every year.
The Airplane Co.’s approach differs from other training providers in that we are dedicated and determined to teach pilotage (a.k.a. pilot skill). Although we understand and endorse the benefits of numerous training options (simulator, GAT, etc.) we believe that none place greater pressure on pilot trainees to perform than live (in aircraft) upset recovery / unusual attitude and spin training. This theory proves itself true day after day as we lead our students to break their fears of unexpected upset, inversion, and loss of aircraft control. We see pilot students of all experience levels perform for the first time recoveries with accuracy and commanding confidence while keeping the aircraft safely within it’s designed flight envelope. Our motto in short, a pilots skill should never be the limiting factor of any aircraft or flight. The Airplane Co. teaches these advanced flying skills.
The Airplane Co. utilizes the Extra 300L/LP series of aircraft for all upset recovery / unusual attitude training. Our customers enjoy the Extra 300’s ability to mimic many performance and aerodynamic qualities of high performance passenger aircraft.
